Acer Aspire officially launched.

Acer Aspire OneAcer have officially announced the launch of the Aspire One.

Pricess for the competitor the Asus Eee PC range from £199 for the Linux version to £299 with Windows XP installed.

As stated here, the Aspire One does not currently include 3G or WiMax but these options will available later this year.

Here’s the confirmed specifications:

  • Intel Atom @ 1.6Ghz
  • 8.9″ 1024×600 screen
  • 512MB of RAM
  • Linupus Lite OS
  • 8GB SSD
  • SD card reader
  • Dimensions 248mmx170mmx29mm
  • Battery - 3hrs (3-cell) and 6hrs (6-cell)

Additional options include: 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD and Windows XP.

We’ll get a review out as soon we can get hold of an Aspire One.
