Motorola A1600/A1800I’ve had a liking for the Motorola A series for quite some time having owned an A780. On that note I’m pleased to hear that Motorola have unveiled two new devices in this range; the A1600 and A1800.

The Linux based touchscreen devices have gone through some significant improvements to bring them up to date. Motorola has supplied a list of new features that will be included in the new devices:

  • tri-band GSM network support (EDGE speeds)
  • 3-megapixel camera
  • Bluetooth with A2DP
  • GPS
  • microSD slot

In addition, the A1800 has two radio transmitters enabling it to connect to two different networks simultaneously. CDMA support is apparently included with the A1800.

Unfortunately, the devices don’t feature any WiFi or 3G capabalities.
