Asus Eee PC T91GO UMTS model
The touchscreen Asus Eee PC GO series has been in the limelight for a while now but Asus have decided to go one step further and launch a UMTS version.
The ASUS Eee PC T91GO comes with the same spec as the first variant of the T91, but now features a builting 3G HSDPA modem option.
Although the final prices haven’t been announced yet, here’s and idea of what you’ll get when you part with your hard earned cash:
- Convertible T91GO with an 8.9-inch touchscreen
- Intel Atom Z520 processor
- 1GB of RAM
- 16GB SSD paired with a 16GB SD card
- Dual USB 2.0 ports
- Up to 5hrs battery life
In keeping with previous versions of the Eee PC netbooks, the T91GO weighs in at under 1Kg (0.96Kgs, to be precise). The obvious new component here is teh Eee PC Touch UI running on Windows XP Home Edition (why, oh why?) but it would be realistic to assume that future Linux variants will also come with this tech fitted. The GPS component is an optional extra on the PC T91GO but, as with other Eee PC models, you get 20GB of online Eee Storage bundled with the package.
